The Sulphur Garden Club has presented the Landscape Award for September to R & R Construction, located at 510 Hwy. 108E in Sulphur. R & R Construction is owned by Ronny Lovett. Peggy Hooper, president of the company, accepted the award for the company. The beautiful flowerbeds along the front and sides of the building include groupings of fall colored zinnias in yellow, gold, salmon, and red-orange, plus yellow melampodium, foxtail ferns, coleus, agapanthus, Knock Out roses, and periwinkles. A variety of shrubs and trees including azaleas, Indian Hawthorn, Shi-Shi camellias, lorapetalum, palm trees, and bottlebrush are growing throughout the flowerbeds. A beautiful stone waterfall on one end of the plantings adds accent to the landscaping in the front of the building.
